i have installed jdk1.4.2_06,
and set my JAVA_HOME variable to c:j2sdk1.4.2_06,
but still, when i run the command 'java -version' in the command prompt, it returns j2sdk1.3.1_02.
why is this?

Hi,

remove c:\j2sdk1.3.1_02\bin from your PATH and add c:\j2sdk1.4.2_06\bin instead.

Stefan
