At the download page of JDK in sun's website, what is the difference between windows offline installation and online installation? There is a huge difference of size between the two.

One will download the necessary files for you (the online installation), while the other will download them all beforehand, even though you may not use all of them for installation. Online installation is good for people that have unreliable internet connections.
