I'm interested in finding a good online course on programming with java (OOP, data structures, sorting algorithms (to quicksorts, and beyond!), recursion, multithreading, file IO, etc.). I know it can all be found in books, but I find it easier doing a course - the whole thing about being in the same boat, a community of learners, and all that... Any hot tips out there? Thanks, Flo

Check out Sun's courses. They're very good and competitively priced (meaning expensive of course, professional training costing what it does, but similarly priced to the competition).

Hi, Flo - You may also want to check with your local community colleges. Many now provide online beginning courses in programming, and one near you may have a Java course. Also, you may want to try doing a Dogpilesearch for "online java courses" or "online college java courses" if you want a course that has college credit. Good luck!

Give a man a fish, he'll eat for one day. <br />Teach a man to fish, he'll drink all your beer.<br /> <br />Cheers,<br /> <br />Jeff (SCJP 1.4, SCJD in progress, if you can call that progress...)
