This week's book giveaway is in the Mac OS forum. We're giving away four copies of a choice of "Take Control of Upgrading to Yosemite" or "Take Control of Automating Your Mac" and have Joe Kissell on-line! See this thread for details.
I'm interested in finding a good online course on programming with java (OOP, data structures, sorting algorithms (to quicksorts, and beyond!), recursion, multithreading, file IO, etc.). I know it can all be found in books, but I find it easier doing a course - the whole thing about being in the same boat, a community of learners, and all that...
You may also want to check with your local community colleges. Many now provide online beginning courses in programming, and one near you may have a Java course. Also, you may want to try doing a Dogpilesearch for "online java courses" or "online college java courses" if you want a course that has college credit.
Give a man a fish, he'll eat for one day. Teach a man to fish, he'll drink all your beer.
Cheers, Jeff (SCJP 1.4, SCJD in progress, if you can call that progress...)
