in the excitement i've my english dictionary in front of me but snail only translates to some invertebrade creature...

i think i'm gonna devour the book... in an agile way

You are correct that a snail is a small creature with an external spiral shell (Photo). The word also has a meaning of "a slow-moving or sluggish person or thing" because snails move very slowly. The term "snail mail" is a slang term for postal mail because it is so much slower then e-mail. So Dirk is asking you to e-mail him your postal mailing address.

And congratulations on winning. I too am excited about winning and look forward to reading the book.

i wonder if i must change to eclipse beta 3.1 (?) in order to profit from java 5 since eclipse 3.0 doesnt understand it...

Yes, you will unless you want to write an ant script and compile from the command line
