For some reason I just received a free copy of BEA WebLogic Platform with Free developer license.

I've no idea what this is or what it is used for? Could someone suggest where I find out more? And tell me if it is any good, especially when I am just learning java

Its an Application Server (for J2EE applications). You can find out more at BEA. Personally, if you are just learning Java I'd stear clear of it.
