yup, it's soap powder.
But even if it were software, there's many reasons to buy it.
In Europe many people are still on dialup and paying by the second for their time online. At several Euro an hour it really adds up when you need to download gigabytes or so over a 56k line and buying the stuff on CD is often cheaper.
At �6.50 or so, it would be a nice price even for those on broadband. Saves a few hours of restarting failed downloads and with the prices of CDRs being what they are burning those is getting costly too.
