package javax.servlet does not exist

I'm trying to load the import javax.servlet.* and import javax.servlet.http.* but i keep getting error message like package javax.servlet does not exist. I've downloaded the j2ee.jar file and have set up the Classpath to 'C:\Program Files\Tomcat\jakarta-tomcat-5.5.4\common\lib\j2ee.jar'. But it still doesn't work.

Anyone have any idea whats wrong?

What versions of Windows? I'm thinking there may be a problem with the space in the pathname under 9x.
