Try going through the JavaRanch Cattle Drive. That should give you what you need to get started. If you have any questions about the language or getting your program to compile and run, post the "Java in General(beginners)" forum (in the top section of the forum list).

Hi Andrew,

I have a clarification regarding running Java thru online. whether it is possible to practice JSP and Servlet in the site mentioned (Devsquare) by you.

Actually, I am working and the same time I want to learn and practice some codings in the JSP and Servlets. Since due to security, admin restrictions and other reasons, I am not in position to install Tomcat in my office machine. So whether it is possible to run thru online for JSP and Servlets.

Let me know your suggestions in this regard,
