There's really no separate version of Java, different from the JDK version. They're actually calling it "Java 2 version 5.0" or something like that, but basically it's the JDK version that matters.
There's an EJB 3 spec. There are newer JSP and Servlet specs. Swing and RMI really don't have separate versions apart from the JDK version anymore, as they're part of the platform. "Applet" isn't, and has never been, anything separate from the Java platform, and so has never had a version number.
