Im very new to this and I apologize if this already been discussed, but I have not been able to figure out how to get Darwin to recognize the 1.5 Java version. I have downloaded and gone through the auto updater but am still getting the 1.4.2 only to output. All advice I have found only seems to apply to the windows platform. Any help for a novice would be greatly appreciated.

I don't have a mac, so the best advice I can give you is to check your path (or equivalent for mac) and make sure that the new jdk is there and not the old version.
