Using AspectJ in netbeans

First of all I'm not sure this is the place for this post, so if it's not please forgive me for I haven't found a better one.
I'm having configuration troubles using aspectJ under netbeans. I haven't found a tutorial, so all I did was copy the jars. Obviously didn't work. It doesn't even recognize when I write "public aspect", saying "class or interface expected".
Can anyone show me the way to start writing code? thanks
