Does anyone have any links to a tutorial on MVC, Java and Mysql. I'm still trying to learn and understand where to code the database connections for selects inserts and updates.

hi, here's a few useful links:
http://java.sun.com/docs/books/tutorial/jdbc/basics/index.html

remember to download the Connector/J and set the classpath before using.

I'm not available, my BF's name is WORK.

You could take a peek at the cattle drive here on JavaRanch. Teaches servlets, mySQL, JSP's etc. It's free unless you want nitpicking (feedback).

There's a whole forum dedicated to trying to do the assignments.
