How to include full file path in io?

 BufferedReader buff = new BufferedReader (new FileReader ("c:/document and settings/user/desktop/test.txt"));
 
java.io.FileNotFoundException: c:\document and settings\user\desktop\test.txt (The system cannot find the path specified)
 

 

Why is this error coming? I want to give complete path not a shorter one.
What is the other way?

document and settings has space in between.
U cannot give file names with space inbetween. Give the dos names for those dir and then execute the program.

I don't want to give dos names.
Is any other way???

I don't have a Windows machine in front of me, but try it with an "s" at the end of "document."

AAh, i didnt see it,
yes its Documents and Settings with a S.

Just to reiterate, "u" can give file names with spaces!
