My question is, if I write a program using Java, can I sell it, or I have to pay some money to Sun (for what???)

thanks in advance

Since this question is not specific to the Cattle Drive, I'm moving it to Java in General - Beginner.

No, you do not have to pay Sun any money if you write a program in Java and sell it. See the license for JDK 1.5.0.
