remove space inbetween words

Hi all.

I have a problem.How do i remove the space in between the words.
I tried out this.

   
 
String s2 = "Maps Rate   ,Rate";

String s1 = s2.trim().replaceAll("\\b\\s+","");
System.out.println(s2);
 

 

the output is MapsRate,Rate.
But i want the output to be Maps Rate,Rate.
Please help me .

You could try this:

public class SpaceTest
{
   public static void main(String[] args)
   {
      String s2 = "Maps Rate   ,Rate";;
      
      //Replace all double or more spaces with a single space
      String trimmed = s2.replaceAll("\\b\\s\\s+", "\\s");
 
      System.out.println(trimmed);
   }
}
