I want to buy a notebook with Athlon 64 CPU. And I have an application for JVM 1.4.
If I install JRE1.4 into Athlon 64 CPU, is it still work? the performance will be up to 64 or still be 32bit?

Dont worry man ! It will work. Only case is you need to install the proper JRE. Thats all. !!

hello,
the Athlon 64 is compatible to 32 bit software anyway, like a normal x86. You could install a 64 bit operating system, and then you should also use the JRE / JDK for an Athlon 64. Last time I checked the reviews for Win XP 64 it was not significally faster, though, and that's why I don't use it although I have an Athlon 64.
