Very nice example of code.
It returns a true on my screen.
So that means it is an object, isn't it

Absolutely! (It's also a hint that writing test code is often the best way to answer questions.) Here a a couple of references from the Java Language Specification to back this up.

"In the Java programming language arrays are objects..." ~10 Arrays

"An object is a class instance or an array." ~4.3.1 Objects
