jake, you'll notice that inside of Code Tags, text does not automatically wrap, so you might want to add some returns to your original post. You can edit your own posts by clicking on the paper/pencil icon.

can someone please help me, i dont wanna learn this java stuff, i only took this course because i needed a six subject in which i can get into university, thats the reason i took programming. what i mean is that im never going to do/use this java stuff when im older and dont really care for it. all i need help is how to make a simple program in which there are about 6 or seven buttons that appear and each one that you click creates a diffrent outcome like for instance the fifa world cup. clicking on the button groupA will lead to a text joptionpane box and will show the teams and theyre schedules in that group. im not good at java and only have 2 day left, ive been trying to do it but i just dont get it. please someone help

It seems you're looking for a quick answer. But -- as other posters have implied -- the quick answer is that there is no quick answer. (Yes, you could "add" a button fairly easily, but then the next question is how to make that button do something.)

If you haven't already bookmarked this, here is a link to the Java Tutorial...

http://java.sun.com/docs/books/tutorial/index.html

Take some time with this (especially the Swing section), and see where that gets you. We're here to help, but we can't "learn" Java for you.

If you have time to post your requirements here and get a suitable application in return then you have time to do the same thing with someone you're paying. It's extremely unlikely anyone here or anywhere else is going to give you a complete solution because you chose to take a class you didn't want to and are unwilling to do the work.

at some point you will have to take your feet off the table,
and do something for yourself.

you could at least try searching - that requires very little effort.
search the swing forum, or google, and use
"new JButton"

you should find numerous hits, many with sample code where you will see
how the buttons are added and used.

yeh, yeh, a bit more effort to read, but you're the one wanting to pass

If that's the best way to help out, then I'm sure your professor would be glad to just give you the code (especially if you explain how urgent it is).
