saddest thing of all is that the kid may well get off on a technicality or by his lawyers trying to make him look like a sad abused youth...

Wish people would teach their kids some values, might help a lot.
Instead they shove them into daycare until they're too old for that and then give them a television and game computer to keep them quiet so they don't have to spend time with them...

I disagree: the saddest thing is that three people are dead. As for 'may well get off on a technicality': That's an awful lot of speculation, both implicit and explicit, and it doesn't really justified in the context of the known facts (which seem to be few and far between).

So far, the only clear thing is that three people are dead. Let's not get out the lynching rope yet.

Agreed: TV and computer games should be reserved for adults

Not meaning to get into oneupmanship on morbid stories, but I read this the other day and could not believe it.

On the news here we heard that a 100-year old man killed his wife with a butcher knife as she lay in an old people's home. They were planning to move her elsewhere. He could barely stand and lived on his own. That people have to go to such extreme measures to die is sad.

Don't get me started about those stupid light bulbs.
