The 1st day of Marilyn's new job
Yes some of you have guessed it right. Our Nitpicker boss starts her new career today at BiosGroup.
And all of us doing the Cattle Drive. Pse don't nag for your nitpick. You only have to go and look at the BiosGroup's site and realize that Marilyn will have a tough job ahead of her. These guys really do some very heavy stuff. Heck I had a look at their products and I have a hard time even understanding the product descriptions. Marilyn will have to actually understand how they do it. So give her a break. We might have to settle for a longer waiting period.
Have fun in your new career
ps. as far as I can figure out Marilyn is going to work on their PPM product

What'd I miss? Countdown to your 'official' bartending status? Victoria Day in Canada? My mother's birthday ? (thanks for thinking of her).

When my count reaches ZERO all will be revealed
By the way Rick wish your mom a happy birthday when we do get to zero .
As for bartender status I had no idea that was on the cards when I decided to do the countdown.

Johnannes: All right, you obviously want speculation otherwise you would either
a) not post and/or not tease us
b) just tell us what it's about!
That said, here's my guess(es)
1. You're getting married (oops, if you've already taken the plunge)
2. Taking the SCJP (OK, you said October, but we never know)
3. Getting a new dog or cat (grasping for straws here)
4. April Fool!! (Twice a year, twice as much fun?)

  • If I take SCJP in six days, I wont get more than 15%
  • Two cats already, wife wants more, but no & garden too small for a dog
  • Baby, no way !!!
  • Thinking about a new job

  • Sorry guys not even close, it actually has nothing to do with me

Hey, so what's the next one? Is this like a treasure hunt? What's the prize?
We should have a game...the winner could win a JavaRanch T-Shirt

Sorry Joseph used your surname in the list above .
Treasure hunt. Ranch T-shirts. Not a bad idea. We will have to find a sponsor though. This site runs on goodwill & Pauls wallet.

Maybe if the prize is good enough everyone willing to play can pay a small fee? It could be fun...
Possible ideas:
  • impossible trivia (related either to the ranch or java)
  • a puzzle to solve
  • ...any other ideas?

Before it counts down to Zero, can we, who have not yet guess so, have a clue on that. Would be a good excercise.
