Hi, This is not the right form to ask these type of questions. also your display name voilates ranch's naming policy. please update your display name as per the java ranchstandards.

Coming to your question, I'm not sure what you need exactly.
If you want to create a text file & open it in notepad then, what you can do is you can use java.io & write the text you want into a file & use RunTime.exec to open that text in a notepad like "RunTime.exec( notepad "C:\test.txt" ); "

Hi,

Welcome to JavaRanch!

We have a strict policy on display names, which must be a real first and last name with a space between.

Please go here and fix your display name up, pronto. Thanks, pardner!

This "JavaRanch" forum is for discussing the site www.javaranch.com itself. For actual Java discussions, you can use the other forums. I'm going to move this one to "Java in General (Beginner)." There will be a link to the new forum right below the moose picture.
