canExecute method of File?

Hello,

I was trying to compile a program that uses canExecute method of the File class but the program doesn't compile. Although all the other methods that I used worked properly.

Is this method no longer used or is it deprecated?

Would be thankful if somebody advises me.

This is a new method in Mustang (Java 1.6). Are you using jdk 1.6 ?

That explains it. I am using Java 5.
