Generating Reports and importing data

pls what class and or package do i use if i want to generate report from a database using Java and how do i import data from one database(dbase) to the another (oracle).

This thread has some good links regarding reporting tools.

I'd expect to do data moves from one database to another with special tools, outside Java. You might get lucky with an export from one db and import into another, or use a high end tool like Informatica. Look for info about ETL Tools.
