Have you been to opthalmologist and checked your eye pressure?I went 2 days back and shocked to learn that my inter ocular pressure is 20.It must be between 13-22.So I am on border. After 22 you might be Gloucoma suspect Suprisingly people with high eye pressure might not wear glasses and can not have any eye problem like me.Reasons for high pressure could be heriditory, severe eye injury or some unknown reason.Unfortunately once gloucoma starts, your vision gets blurred and finally leads to partial or complete blindness. Also this process can not be reversed by any means.Neither through surgery or any eye exercises or vitamins. Best way is identifying it at early stage and keep the pressure under control. [ September 26, 2004: Message edited by: Arjun Shastry ]

The pressure can be reduced by using some medications (eye drops). In some cases the ophthalmologist will suggest a Laser treatment or a surgery.

Thats correct.Opthalmologist gives eye drops which bring down the eye pressure.Eye pressure comes down at any stage but higher the pressure,it will take more time to reduce at 22.Eye pressure also does not rise rapidly but rises over the years. According to doctors, once in 2 years eyes must be throughly checked. Gloucoma is silent enemy. It shows no symptoms till you find your vision is blurred suddenly one day.
