Hi Friends!

I am having an issue with the upgradation of java J2SDK 1.4.1_01 to JSDK 5 or JSDK 6. Please provide me with the steps to install(upgrade) my old version of java.

I am performing the following steps:

-->Go to java.com

-->Then, I clicked on the free Java Download Button

-->It took me to a page that read as "Java for Windows - Internet Explorer"

-->Where in I clicked on the link "Click here to start the download"

-->It opened the window to Start the installation process

-->The installation process starts. The installer presents an option to view the License Agreement. After reading the agreement, click the Accept button to accept its terms and to continue with the installation

-->I clicked on the advanced option and selected the recommended default option

-->Then I had a isssue it just stayed on the page stating Copying the files and never proceeded...

so Please help me out on this, waiting... for reply

Thank you,
Regards

I recently downloaded JavaSE6 from the Sun site using the offline installation process without any problems.

It may just take some time.
There are two types one downloads the entire thing to your machine before attempting to install it (offline installation) the other downloads a very small program that, when run, downloads the necessary files for installation.

If you don't have a fast connection the second option could take a while.
