The javadocs only cover the classes that come with the JVM. They don't talk about the Java language. E.g., what is the range of numbers supported by the primitive type "int"? The Java Language Specification (JLS) will tell you.

Having said that, you may not have to peruse the JLS for a while. Any good intoductory book will tell you what you need to know. But sooner or later you'll have a question for which you'll need to consult the JLS.

These forums can help you learn Java, but they're not a substitute for some good introductory material (e.g., books or a class) that cover the language and object-oriented principles.
