I am creating an Applet with labels, buttons, textfields etc..

I have named my labels: lblEnter, lblOther ... my Buttons: btn....
(I have used conventions from in vb.net)

Are these conventions correct for Java as well ? or does Java use other conventions?

I'm not aware of any widely followed naming conventions (except for how to use uppercase and lowercase), but you might be interested in Sun's Java Coding Conventions.
