could you be more specific? You're question is very vague... kind of like saying "i don't understand how to get from Los Angeles to New York - please explain". Do you want to know how an internal combustion engine works, how to make plane reservations, or how to read a map?

The more specific your question, the easier it is to help. Do you need to know how to install the JDK, how to compile, or are you gettin specific errors you don't understand?

I don't understand of Sink a Dot Com mechanism either. I searched from Google to Wikipedia and I got nothing to explain how this game works except this unsolved mystery. I'm not talking about its implementation and its source code yet. I need to understand its domain model, how this sink a dot com works? From its user's perspective first. Kinda like from Domain Expert level. Maybe its high level design would help.

Can somebody help me?

Welcome to JavaRanch!

This game is like the classic board game "battleship."

If you have questions about the design or gameplay, please be more specific.

Ah, thanks for the hint! Now I can learn to understand what the game is from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battleship_(game) and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battleship

Welcome to the Ranch Melinda Taylor.

Thank you for finding the code. I would recommend any beginners using it to delete the package declarations from the files, and also the lineThat will make compiling easier.

The Book gives you all the coding you need make sure you don't skip out it's in chap5 called ready bake code the class is called GameHelper because the game helper class sets up the board for you.

Been reading the book on and off cause I have other things to do at the moment.
