Hello everyone,
I would like to know what technologies are used for Front-end and server side programming.

Thanks,

I think you might have more chance of a reply elsewhere. Let's try moving you to beginners . . .

Bobby,
A variety of technologies are used. Some common ones:
back end - JDBC, Hibernate, Spring
front end - JSP, Servlets, Struts, JSF

hello everyone,
to sum up:
front end can include: jsp, html, servlets, swing, CSS, struts, JSF
and
back end includes: jdbc,Hibernate, Spring.
I am under the assumption that servlets would fall under back end as it performs server side interaction.
Waiting for reply!

Thanks,
bobby.

Is that the only technology that they use for servers?

Arad, how have you managed to get to 93 posts with a non-compliant displayed name?

Please correct it.

No, they are just some common examples. Anything that creates HTML can be used. For example, XSLT or template markup languages can be used.

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
