Hi All,

I understand the Java book when I read it

but I need to write lot of programs to make use of theory I read from the book

Any site to refer - list of java programs to practice based on Chapters

As I am totally new to Java, I like to write/learn lot of codes in PC to get practice , not simply copying from the book

Your help is greatly appreciated

Thanks

I've found this site very beneficial

Java Tutorial

I think the java is a bit out of date, but to get the basics down, it's helped me tremendously.

There are exercises at the end of each chapter that make you put to use what you just covered, so you can get some practical experience.

It is very beginner oriented, but was exactly what I was looking for.

Regards,

Sathya,

Your screen name does not quite meet our Naming Policy. Please read that page, and follow the link to update your screen name.

Also, the ranch has their very own collge... see here. The assignments are posted for anyone to see/use. There is a small fee if you want a JavaRanch staffer to nitpick them, though.

There are only two hard things in computer science: cache invalidation, naming things, and off-by-one errors
