could anone point me in the right direction? I would like to print a number of variables from my program to a predesigned template, is there any freeware that you could suggest? are there any examples for me to study as this is a first for me

What exactly do you mean by 'a template'? there are various options for formatted printing to the screen...

if you mean something like a Word document/template, that's a lot trickier.

sorry should have said a hard copy using word or some other package preferable free ware that would allow me to format the variables to a template this is for an engineering data sheet.
