Do you mean suggestions for what you might do as an assignment at College? This is probably the best place for that.

Can you think of a charity or voluntary organisation round your way who might want some programming? Go and ask them what they would like. Linking a database of matches and scores to a GUI for a football club, for example.

You want to make something creative right?
Make an applet that works like a digital photo-frame ,flashing photographs at certain intervals and randomly, or make a chat applet(to common),or make a simulator of some machine, sort of animation

I'm always amazed when I read this question. I mean no disrespect, it's just sheer curiosity: If you can't think of any problem you'd like to solve using a computer program, what is it that interests you in programming?

Decisions...decisions...

Make a program, using 'case', whereby it decides for you what java project you will do. You can use 'random' if you want.

It always strikes me as a strange and somewhat silly question to ask. Besides, you'll be much more motivated if it is your problem that you are solving from start to finish.
