This week's book giveaway is in the OO, Patterns, UML and Refactoring forum. We're giving away four copies of Refactoring for Software Design Smells: Managing Technical Debt and have Girish Suryanarayana, Ganesh Samarthyam & Tushar Sharma on-line! See this thread for details.
I am currently working through the head first java book, and I just build a BeatBox app. in chapter 13, but it doesn't want to compile. After a while I downloaded the code from the head first website, but the same problem persists...
If anyone ran into the same problem and knows what's going on, I would like to know!
Can you post the compilation error you are getting?

Hello Steve Luke,
thank you for replying I just started my app to see the error I've been getting, and you probably guessed it, it worked(Well, the app starts, but there's no midi sounds). It actually has me quite stumped.. I don't know how it happened, since I stopped working on it after getting the messages. Thanks anyway for replying! I worked on the same thing recently, used the code from Head First Java SE. There was an error in the main() method (obviosly it's BeatBox, not BeatBox2), but besides that everything was working just fine. You probably just need to check your code once again.
I’ve looked at a lot of different solutions, and in my humble opinion Aspose is the way to go. Here’s the link: http://aspose.com
