Installation of Pluto using Maven 2.0/2.1

I am installing Pluto using Maven according to http://portals.apache.org/pluto/v11/getting-started.html link. But when i give "mvn install" command, it downloads all the artifacts but gives an exception.

Error loading supplemental data models: String index out of range: -1
java.lang.StringIndexOutOfBoundsException: String index out of range: -1

Is the error. Please advice
