RMI troubleshooting

I'm new to this forum so excuse me if my post is in the wrong place.
My problem is the following. I tried RMI for the first time with a small HelloWorld example but when I run the command rmic or rmiregistry in the terminal it just returns me the commandline endlessly. I tried this at home and at work with the same result. What am I missing?

Sorry sheriff, I changed my name. Anyway, the problem is apparently not a RMI problem but rather cmd.exe problem. First I used netbeans to compile my files but now I tried javac Hello.java and the same problem occured for this command as well.

Sorry sheriff, I changed my name.

Thanks for that but it is still not a valid name.
As per our policy your display name must constitute of a first name and a last name, which does not seem to be the case for your display name.
Kindly take a moment to change it.

Well if you carefully read the naming policy , it says that you can use initials for your first name but not the last. So you need another adjustment

Winne is my last name, do I have to change the position?
