launching appletviewer without terminal

I'm getting into applets and ran into the problem of purging applets from the browser cache - I'm running Ubuntu 8.10, Firefox 3.0.4 - so I started using appletviewer. I'd like to run it from a menu for convenience but the only way to do that is to hardcode the full path and file name into the menu item.

That gets appletviewer running but it would be nice to have a bit more flexibility.

Anyone know how to get appletviewer running from the menu without having to specify an path/html file?

I agree. Here's the link: http://ej-technologies/jprofiler - if it wasn't for jprofiler, we would need to run our stuff on 16 servers instead of 3.
