Perhaps due to my allergy during the high-pollen-level season, I often feel drowsy at work lately. Sometimes, drowsiness does not go away even after having two cups of coffee. I normally have good seven-hour sleep per day.

What to do if coffee does not wake me up?

Or, it is not caused by my allergy. It is a sympton that I am ill? Should I see a medical doctor? But, I really do not have any known diseases.

If you haven't been to a doctor, how do you know if you don't have any known diseases?

What is "red bull"? Where to get it?

Is allergy and drowsiness strongly correlated?

Have you tried exercising in the morning? Running outside or on treadmill might give you a strong, much needed, burst of energy in the morning. When the burst of energy subsides, then slowly drink your cup of coffee.

Instead of doing excercise in morning,do it in evening.Try yoga in the morning with addition of water theurapy(drinking water more than 4 glasses with one glass of 200 to 250 ml each immediately after you getup in the morning).

"Red Bull" is a soft drink that has a high quantity of Caffine in it.
If two mugs of Coffee aren't helping you I doubt this will.

I prefer "lucozade" I'm not sure if it's sold in the US ... basically it's a high-glucose drink, and has the effect of keeping my mind and body awake without affecting my sleep pattern (I can't have coffee or anything high in caffine after 4pm cos if I do I can't get to sleep at night)

I had a friend who drank sodas while driving long distance. No cup holders in a 66 Econoline so he put the can between his legs. He claimed the cold can in his crotch kept him awake until the caffeine hit, then about the time that wore off he was alert looking for a bathroom.

Have you tried pain? Put one of those big steel binder clips on your ear or something.

Its fairly common in the UK to combine Red Bull with alcohol (often vodka), making a popular (and expensive) drink. Despite its popularity, its not a very healthy thing to do. Alcohol is a depressant, while the caffeine in the Red Bull gets people high. Apparently this combination can screw people up in the head quite a bit.

Mind you, the same could be said of just about any alcoholic drink if enough is consumed

There have been various reports suggesting this combination is in fact potentially lethal (a few people have apparently died as a result of drinking this). I've had it a few times and it is an "interesting" experience. I think I remember somewhere that there were moves towards abnning this combination being sold in Pubs, rather like "Snakebite" (Lager and Cider) which I nigh on impossible to get at a bar now.

Working out in the evening is very popular, but if you are into anything other than basic aerobic training (weight training or martial arts etc), it shouldnt be done too late. From my own experience, and from what I read, if you do weight training etc late in the evening, your body would be so awake and alert, you would find it difficult to unwind, relax and sleep. End result, tired morning and low energy through out the day.

Work out in the morning and general aerobics in the evening (a jog around the park, walk your dog etc) sounds okay to me, but who has the luxury of that much free time!

Another alternative is to workout during the day, that is go swim/walk/jog during your lunch break, well, it may not suit some work enviroment/places!

Actually I have a recipe for a drink that gives me Super Powers. I invented it back when Star Wars episode one was popular; I called it The Yoda Cola. Redbull 2 Ginseng & Ginko Biloba tablets,1 devils claw tablet, rum, 3 sertraline tablets and a bottle of lucozade. what a rush man!!
