Yet another mundane question..

I was talking to some colleagues who come to office really early, (7-7.30 am), to find out how they manage time, because that is something I have never been able to do.

And they said that they take a bath the previous day evening before going to bed (in addition to getting lunch, clothes ready etc.), and it saves time the next day morning.

Is this a popular thing to do? I mean, I would feel kinda dirty if I don't take a bath in the morning, but that's probably just me.

My parents have always done that (shower at night.) I prefer mornings, too, but I guess showering at night means you have a nice clean bed.

Most (all?) people give their kids baths at night, so they settle down to bed all clean and relaxed, which is kind of nice. Maybe a person could get used to that.

I can't do it because my hair stands straight up on my head when I wake up in the morning!

I get to work about 7am each day. I have to take a shower in the morning to wake me up. I get up about 5, but I have about an hour bus ride to work so I get some sleep there.

I require the morning shower to wake up. In college some friends got summer jobs in a foundry. They definitely had a reason to shower right after work, not before. I thank the fates every day for white collar desk jobs!!

A good question is never answered. It is not a bolt to be tightened into place but a seed to be planted and to bear more seed toward the hope of greening the landscape of the idea. John Ciardi

I tried the 'showering the daybefore evening' thing. It never worked for me. I always felt kind of unfresh and kind of giddy through the day, may be thats just me.

FYI some people do shower twice a day(some of those cleanliness freaks)

I usually have to shower twice a day, but it's because I usually go running after work.

I guess a lot of adults have shower early morning because of having sex the previous night, and then they get used to the morning routine.
Ideally one should have a shower twice ,in the night inorder to clean the mess accumulated during the day, and also in the morning to freshen up the day

Personally, my shower takes the place of my coffee. Its probably more necessary too. Lately, that's been coupled with 20 oz of Mt. Dew though too.

As for when to do certain things to 'save time' I think its too individual. I've always said that you will make time for what it is you need to do. The people who shower at night choose to not make time in the morning to do it. Just make the time.

24 hours; use them wisely.

I dropped the "20 oz Mountain Dew in the morning" habit and dropped 16 pounds, too. Hmmm, any chance that's bad for you?

Going to bed with all days dirt on is absolute no-no for me, and a shower in the morning is a good thing too, especially for those who prefer sex first thing in the morning!

I now cycle to/from work and have two showers. Before that I always had to have one in the morning - I can't stand going through the day without starting with a shower. I've organised my morning routine so I can spend as long as possible in the shower, teeth and shaving in the warm water.
I agree. Here's the link:
