I require the morning shower to wake up. In college some friends got summer jobs in a foundry. They definitely had a reason to shower right after work, not before. I thank the fates every day for white collar desk jobs!!
A good question is never answered. It is not a bolt to be tightened into place but a seed to be planted and to bear more seed toward the hope of greening the landscape of the idea. John Ciardi
I guess a lot of adults have shower early morning because of having sex the previous night, and then they get used to the morning routine. Ideally one should have a shower twice ,in the night inorder to clean the mess accumulated during the day, and also in the morning to freshen up the day

Personally, my shower takes the place of my coffee. Its probably more necessary too. Lately, that's been coupled with 20 oz of Mt. Dew though too.
As for when to do certain things to 'save time' I think its too individual. I've always said that you will make time for what it is you need to do. The people who shower at night choose to not make time in the morning to do it. Just make the time.

I dropped the "20 oz Mountain Dew in the morning" habit and dropped 16 pounds, too. Hmmm, any chance that's bad for you? [ May 28, 2005: Message edited by: Stan James ]
Going to bed with all days dirt on is absolute no-no for me, and a shower in the morning is a good thing too, especially for those who prefer sex first thing in the morning! [ May 30, 2005: Message edited by: Ashok Mash ]

I now cycle to/from work and have two showers. Before that I always had to have one in the morning - I can't stand going through the day without starting with a shower. I've organised my morning routine so I can spend as long as possible in the shower, teeth and shaving in the warm water.
