scjp 1.6 prepration for exam

hii everyone , iam still new on this forum and also new to studying for certificates and i need your help to know what shall i start with?
i am studying from k&b book 6.0 but i need to know how long should it take from mee to finish and take the exam and also is there any thing i can doo rather thank this book and the mock exams?

Well it all depends on your experience with the programming language and the time you can spend for day.. as well as a lot more things.

i) Read the book thoroughly
ii) Understand the concepts clearly. One main thing, what ever you learn do it practically. write lot of programs. Only when you test it on the system, you will understand the concepts clearly
iii) Do the Self Test Q & A which is available at the end of the chapter
iv) Complete all the chapters
v) Read the book again second time (this time you might understand very well....)
vi) Complete all the chapters
vii) Do all the Mock exams and the Master exam in the CD.
viii) By this time you might have gained your confidence.
ix) Register for your exam and give it.
