Hi all...

I have been studying for SCJP 6 and recently got discouraged.I found that the threads section in the K&B book was a little sparse(SCJP 6 guide) I was even considering taking the version 5 exam but am now contemplating rather buying the study guide for version 5 just to reinforce the topics(like threads) that I'm unsure of.

Does the SCJP 5 K&B book contain completely different material(questions&examples) to the version 6 one?Would it be a good option to supplement my version 6 study guide?

Hi Duran! Welcome to javaranch

I am afraid that the Study Guide for 5.0 will not explain Threading to you in more detail than the 6.0 book. If you are not clear about thread basics, then you must read a book like Thinking in Java or Java Complete Reference. That might help you grasp Threading better.

And also you can post what problem you are facing here, and there are a lot of people here that are willing to help everyone in any way they can. So you might get your confusions cleared here...
