I'd like to know whether you guys still create stub classes for rmi implementation?

I always got this error msg whenever i try to generate it:

The major.minor version '50.0' is too recent for this tool to understand.

Yes. If you do not use rmic, they will be generated at runtime, and dynamically downloaded (and you should have an instruction stating you are not allowed to have dynamic downloading).

Hi Andrew,

If i use jdk 1.5,use:
rmic xxx
to generate a xxx_Stub.class. just put it in the same package with the remote class. is that ok?

We need user -v1.2 etc or not? Thanks a lot.

If you're using Java 5 or higher, there's no need to run the rmic command. I myself did not generate any stub, and got 40 points on the server implementation criteria.
