Hi all,

one of the deliverables for part II, the assignment, is a deployment diagram. I would like to know if any of you have mentioned actual hardware make/model(s) and or manufacturer info in this diagram. I am referring to the "hardware platform" layer of the SunTone Architectural Model 3D cube. In other words, do you mention things like Sun Fire Vnnn Server or Sun Netra nnn Server on the deployment diagram of your assignment and if so should one mention something about this in the assumptions/risks.

The same could be asked about the upper platform layer; do you mention a specific vendor's application server implementation like "Sun Java System Application Server" or "Bea Weblogic ...", etc.

In the "real" world, these kind of choices obviously are needed too when setting up an architecture, not just deciding say what kind of ejb component you are going to use in your app.

Regards
