As I am new to Web Services , SOAP etc. Please help me out how to start and understand these topics from scratch.

Also, please get me the books which are useful for initial understanding and then to prepare for SCDJWS. and also what kind of environment needed to prepare and test samples.

Can anybody suggest me is this book "J2EE WebServices - by Richarf Haefel" would be helpful?

Is this book sufficient to prepare for Web Services Certification or any other could be more comprehensive?

The book by Richard Monson-Haefel is a very good introduction to web services, even if it is slightly outdated.
Personally, I read the book first and then started reading the specification documents (SOAP, WSDL, WS-I BP etc). To me, reading the specification documents first would have been too difficult.
Best wishes!

You can use the following for SCDJWS(Old) :-
1. J2EE Web Services book by Monson Haefel
2. Mikalai Zakin's tutorial for Web services
3. Any mock exams like Whizlabs and practice

I’ve looked at a lot of different solutions, and in my humble opinion Aspose is the way to go. Here’s the link:
