I passed SCJP 6 with 58 correct answers out of 72 today.

The book of Kathy Sierra and Bert Bates is a must! It helped me a lot (although I have only the Java 5 version). There were only a few Java 6 specific questions (regarding java.io.Console).

I'd also like to thank to all of you who have contributed to the forums at JavaRanch.

Best regards,
Krisztian

How many thread and collection related question did you get in the real exam?

Great score How long did you study?
Did you do mock exams ? How many ?

Thank you

There were a lot of Thread and Collection related questions (I don't know the exact number). Actually I was a bit surprised myself. However I didn't have any NavigableMap and NavigableSet related stuff.

I bought Enthuware's mock exam and did all of the tests on last weekend (792 questions). The real exam was very similar.

There isn't much difference. If you go with SCJP 6 you hace to learn some of the new Java API features, which basically means Console, NavigableMap and NavigableSet.

I studied from the SCJP 5 book and practiced Enthuware's SCJP 6 mock exams, so i think you can try version 6, too.
