All, Thank you for your support. Really happy to get the score. Mistakes made by me. 1. I know that I have not completely answered correct 2. I had 1.5 hrs time left to finish the exam but still came out because I am so eager to se my marks Score Details 1. 100 % ( 5 ) 2. rest are all above 80 % and 3. one 75% I am not sure why I have not scored properly Web development structure Reference: I have read almost three books. 1. HFSJ ( Best book, good concepts explanation) 2. Hansuhmant - Good to read 3. Charles Lyon book. Once you can read . The problem with this book is Since I have read the book HFSJ already I expected the same in this. It is like a college book every line is important. 4. after reading the HFSJ book kindly I advice to have some workouts because I have read important things in JSTL spec[c:set target] that was not properly covered as for as me concerned. 5. Read out all the specs not API's and note down the points so that you dont have to read again - especially JSTL spec good points are there which was not covered in any of the book 6. More mock test will get you good marks. because I missed atleast couple of quetsions otherwise i would have scored 90+ Sorry: Mark i have scored only 83% that means I have missed one questions. I was strong in this are but I am not sure why I lost it. Really thankful for your notes. I always read once the notes of Jothi Sankar which is in SCWCD Links ScwcdHints by Jothi Shankar Kumar Sankararaj. His points are good. Obviously I cannot miss out Marcus. No words to say . Once everybody should read. Mikalai Zaikin - I felt reading like a spec. So instead of reading I read complete Spec. Everyday I search for mocks in website and I used to work out. Preparation time : 3 to 4 weeks , every day 2.5 hrs. advice to forum members: when we ask some questions it is better we workout and if it is not solvable then we ask others More to tell but this is enough I believe. I am sorry for long story.

That's a great score and thanks for picking up a copy of my book and giving it a go! Obviously I'm always looking for improvements, so can I ask what you really mean by:
Since I have read the book HFSJ already I expected the same in this. It is like a college book every line is important.
What was it you did/didn't like about the book? It deliberately is in textbook style, though I hope mostly light-hearted too, so the style is intentionally different from HFSJ which is no bad thing. If you could drop me an e-mail or PM me with your feedback it'd be much appreciated. Thanks again!

Do not ever think I am disliking the book. I like the book but I am kind of practical person. When we say some concepts like a example it will reach immediately. Eg singleton class. if we say that it is only one instance of the class. people will think differently. If we say there should be only one president for a country. it is reachable. Every point in your book seems to be important that is the problem. do we need so much points. that's what i was trying to say.

Hi Lakshmi,
I really want to congrat you for the archievement you have made but I seriously can't. And you probably know why already.
Using --- from ANY sources is considered cheating and it is illegal. The possible result is decertification and never be able to do any cert. from the same vendor for life. Though the fact that you were asking me for --- right after my exam doesn't prove you have obtained --- anywhere else, or you haven't. I surely hope you didn't because it will destroy your career. I urge you to seriously consider checking out http://www.certguard.com you attempt any other cert.
Good luck.

Felix, right before the exam i tried to explain one of our forum member how to use c:set target. because anywhere in our books , mocks never explained Let me try to explain c:set target <% java.util.HashMap myMap = new java.util.HashMap(); myMap.put("1","Java"); myMap.put("2","Ranch"); request.setAttribute("DEAR",myMap); %> For c:set target - 1. object should be available already in any of the four scopes. otherwise throws exception 2. supports only for Map and Bean objects 3. target can have EL expressions or scriptless 4. If target attribute is null it throws exception 5. Removal: if the value is set null for the property then it works this way 5.1 if target is map then key is removed from the map object 5.2 if target is bean then property value is set to null. 6. Add: If the target is map object then if 6.1 property is new then it is added to the map 6.2 if the key already exist then it overwrites. I hope I am clear if not someone explain. Here is the example <c:catch var="myException"> <% java.util.HashMap myMap = new java.util.HashMap(); myMap.put("1","Java"); myMap.put("2","Ranch"); request.setAttribute("DEAR",myMap); %> <c:set target="${DEAR}" property="3" value="Group" /> <% myMap = (java.util.HashMap)request.getAttribute("DEAR"); for( int index=1; index < 4; index++ ){ out.println(myMap.get(String.valueOf(index))); } %> </c:catch>

Dear Laxmi, Excellent score, I know your day to day schedule, what I could say is 2 to 3 hrs a day and in 3 weeks is a significant achievement. Keep it up and I wish you the same for future success. Thanks Vis [ October 27, 2008: Message edited by: VISWESWARA SRIADIBHATLA ]

Cheating is as bad as squealing. Asking for --- in itself is useless, because everyone will know you don't know the material. At the same time, making baseless conjecture is just as bad: if you have evidence, bring it forth, or just keep quiet and don't impugn anyone's honor, and don't make unproven suggestions.

Felix and Anton, I don't see Lakshmi mentioning --- or anything else that's illegal in his/her posts. Am I missing something? I don't see any evidence that Lakshmi has cheated in any way.
There are legitimate free and commercial mock exams for SCWCD available; see the ScwcdLinks page.

I am not suggesting he did, all i am saying is: a) cheating is bad for the person cheating in general; and b) if one has evidence, let the evidence speak, not unproven conjecture.
Let's close the topic. The guy got a good score, and everything seems legit.

Felix is directly accusing Lakshmi of cheating, while there really isn't any reason to suspect Lakshmi.
