Hi David.

I'm actually using Netbeans 6.1, and I found that deploying an EAR project on a Glassfish V2 app server it is a hard work for the IDE, it is a way to do this faster? Or should I consider in putting my project in a Web application. The thing is that my boss want it in this way just for using the Persistence API of EJB

Best regards.

I personally haven't experienced the issue you are describing. In my experience, deploying an Enterprise Application (EAR) project is as simple as right clicking on the project and selecting "run".

After that, the app is automatically deployed and executed after a few seconds.

You may want to try NB 6.5, as some performance improvements were implemented in that version.

I didn't meant the work I have to do to deploying the project, I mean the time that it takes to Netbeans making it, it takes around 2 to 3 minutes in the deploy. Maybe it could be for the amount of Entity beans and session beans that I have.

If you could say how to improve it would be great.

Thank you so much

Hi
I have a question on the same topic.
I'm working with NetBeans 6.5 (it doesn't work on 6.5 RC2 either) with glassfish v2.
When I try to deploy an Enterprise project I get the following error:

The glassfish log doesn't show anything about it, so I verified that the project is directed to the correct server (it is).

When I manually deploy the ear file with the glassfish admin it works just fine so it isn't the ear file or glassfish.

Any ideas?

Thanks
Sigal
