Hi David, I have a copy of your other book on Java EE - Java EE 5 Development using GlassFish Application Server. I would like to know what amount of information is overlapped between this Netbeans book, and the Glassfish book? Does the NetBeans book use Glasfish as the app server? Or is it app server independent? Does this book teach from ground up, or does it assume prior knowledge? Thanks, Rohan

Rohan, Although both books cover the same topics, they are covered from different angles. The Glassfish book covers Java EE development "from scratch", where the NetBeans books illustrates NetBeans features that make our lives as software developers easier. The book examples are deployed on GlassFish, but they should work in other Java EE 5 compliant application servers with little or no modification. David

That means the two books can complement each other. Thank you for the reply, and hope you enjoy your stay here
