Wondering if there are any known performance bottlenecks of using DOJO ? Are there any stats available that compares the Prototype and DOJO from performance (page load time) point of view ? To me that would be a key consideration for recommending the use of DOJO vs Prototype in Web Applications.

There are no known bottlenecks as such. Also, Dojo is quite speedy. Here's a comparison from earlier this year, which pits Dojo 1.0.2 against a couple of other toolkits;

I looked at the link comparing Dojo to other toolkits. GWT wasn't there. Has Dojo been compared with Google's toolkit as far as speed goes?

Hi Lanny,
Not that I know of. I would not expect a JS compilator to be as good as a human expert (or at least not as good as the core Dojo team

Most probably there is not much noticable difference when it comes to speed, between toolkits.

Cheers,
