Hi Kannan,

Dojo is server-side agnostic, but does have preferences in the format of data for most of the data store abstractions in the web side client. I have a chapter on data stores, trees and grids and how to customize them, and also provide a nearly complete PHP server that I use to connect a JsonRestStore to (POST is left as an exercise to the reader, but all other operations are implemented).

In the source-code version of Dojo (About 20MB, with a -src ending) there are a lot of sample servers in the tests or demos directories to drive certain unit tests.
