Currently Im invoking an url through window.open(url).The output of the url is a pdf file with an IE Dialog Box which asks me to either save or cancel . But I want the option of opening the PDF file. Can anyone suggest me an approach how to achieve that

You can normally not override it, it is some setting in the user's browser that determines what it does.
